Orange Crush Schedule

Friday: Friday night ride and entertainment sponsored by The Movement Scooter Club. The group will meet at 7PM at the Starbuck's on Beach and Adams (Utica actually) in Huntington Beach. We leave Starbuck's at approxiimately 7:30 PM for an hour long ride that ends at Alex's Bar in Long Beach. Scooterists admitted free, all others will be charged a $2 entry fee. Live music provided at Alex's by The Immediates, and The Mojo Filters. $2 pints is the special for the night. Sunday: Morning ride sponsored by the Scootin' Dogs SC. Meet at Cafe Ruba (right across the street from Tower Records in Costa Mesa) at 10:00am. Ride leaves at 10:30 sharp. We're riding down the coast, through Laguna Canyon and the hills of Irvine ending at the Scooter Shop in Orange. Mick will supply us with snacks and drinks for the break. We leave Orange to then ride to Newport Beach Vespa, arriving at 2PM for hamburgers, hot dogs, games, raffle prizes, best custom bike (show), awards, etc.
Saturday: Meet at Newport Beach Vespa at 10:30am for continental breakfast. Ride leaves precisely at noon for the Friendship Bell for photos. Ride to Colorado Lagoon (Long Beach) for barbecue. After a short break (time to shower, change clothes, whatever),the Long Beach area group will meet at Colorado Lagoon at 6:30 PM and ride to Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach. The south Orange County group will meet up with the Long Beach people at the wetlands at 7:30 PM. We'll then all ride to diPiazza Restaurant and Lounge in Long Beach. diPiazza's is located at 5205 E. Pacific Coast Hwy. PUTNAM HALL, THE GOLORDS, D-STRUTTERS, THE PENCILS, and Electroboobies (DJ's) will be there for your entertainment. A $5.00 admission fee will be charged at the door to anyone with an event flyer, all others will be charged $7.00. If you need a place to stay... there's the Guest House Intl Inns & Suites located at 5325 E. Pacific Coast Hwy (about ten seconds from diPiazzas). Ask for the diPiazza rate (around $60), but book early 'cause they sell out quick. Their number is (562) 597-1341 Monday: Meet at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach at 11am. We'll be in the parking area for the Reserve which is directly across Pacific Coast Highway from Bolsa Chica State Beach parking lot at the stop light. We'll ride to an undisclosed location.
